Our beverage system is overwhelmingly built around single-use packaging.

Demand for reuse is higher than ever before. Yet many stakeholders lack the practical guidance, coordination, and implementation support needed to make beverage reuse systems real and scalable.

 

The Reusable Bottle Alliance works to bridge that gap. We envision a future in which reuse is the default for the beverage industry, and we bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and reuse advocates to turn momentum around reuse into action.

Why Beverages?​

Beverage packaging represents one of the largest and most visible categories of single-use waste, while also offering some of the clearest opportunities for large-scale reuse.

Around the world, beverage reuse systems are already operating at scale, demonstrating the potential for less packaging waste, lower greenhouse gas emissions, stronger supply chains, and local economic development.

 

To meaningfully reduce packaging waste, we must look beyond recycling and design systems built for reuse.
